First Reader: The title mentions that this is a first reader; however, it looks a bit advanced for a first reader, more like a second grade leveled reader. Take a look to determine for yourself.
Second Reader, Myths, Stories, and Stories: Again, seems advanced for second grade, more like a third grade reader.

There is no grade assigned to this history book although there is some mention that it was prepared by a high school teacher. It looks very general for high school. It is probably better suited for middle school. Click here.
McFadden Language Series/Google Books
There are no grades assigned to these books; however they appear to be appropriate for third and fourth grade. They have some really nice writing lessons, some with illustrated picture prompts for creative writing. I plan to use a few of these pages for writing assignments for by fourth grade student this summer.

Carpenter's Geographical Reader; North America/Google Reader
An interesting reader which gives the reader a view of North America at the turn of the century. We've used these old readers as a beginning to social and geographical studies of the world, and follow up where they leave off with an encyclopedia.
